Update 01/27 11:30PM

The OnlineNW Mail System has been upgraded

Unfortunately this process has been longer than anticipated. The new mail system is still in place but as of 11:30PM on Sunday the 27th not all mail has been copied over to the new server. If you are a Webmail or Imap user don't panic! Mail is still being copied. That process should finish late (very late) tonight. If you find you are still missing mail on Monday please email support@onlinenw.com with your email address and we will look into the issue.

Update 01/27

An upgrade to the mail system is planned for the day of January 27th. Because we have had some troubles with upgrading in the past this will involve work that will be ongoing all day and may cause intermittent outages throughout the day.

Update 12/10

An upgrade to the mail system is planned for 12/11 @ 8:00PM

Update 10/10 11:00PM

There was a brief network outage for all customers. It seems our load balancer and core router may have some kind of conflict. This has put the expected mail changes on hold. The outage would have been a little after 8:30. Most customers should have seen the issue resolved by 9:00PM with a few on going issues lasting until 10:00PM

Update 10/10

Third times is the charm we hope. An update will occur tonight at 8:00. Further updates will follow.

Update 10/03

There has been another delay. At this time we do not have a new date for the mail changeover.

Update: 9/27

The upgrade has been delayed until Wednesday Oct 3rd. The current system will continue to work until then.

This page will hold any late breaking news about the status of the upgrade. Please check back if you have any problem on Wednesday evening or Thursday October 4th.

For more information on changes to the client settings see the Mail Changes page. Please note that most of our customers will not have to make any changes. Exceptions to this have been notified.

Please note that for the majority of our users no changes will be required. If you are using a POP3 to check your mail the transition process should be seamless. This is the standard setup for most people and every effort has been made to keep this the same. If you encounter a username or password incorrect error please try using your full email address as your username (this is the first thing we will have you try if you call in).

List of changes that will occur on the new mail system:

  • Webmail will be improved for all customers.
    • Some web mail settings may not be carried over. If this is an issue for you after the upgrade please contact support.
  • IMAP will have some slight changes (No mail will be lost!) further details will be posted later.
  • Spam filter settings will be reset. We are using a new spam system and have been advised to start from a clean slate. This means that the first few days may involve some tuning of the global spam settings. Personal settings for every email address will also be available. Instructions for how to do this will be up as soon as the new mail system is in place.
